Liz Miller is the Office Manager at Waller & Mitchell. She has nearly 34 years' experience working in the legal profession, the last 10 in law firm administration and human resources. Liz earned her B.A. degree at Eckerd College in December, 2007 with a double major in organizational studies and business administration. In March, 2009 she earned her Masters in Business Administration and in 2010 she earned her Masters in Sciences of Accounting. Liz is currently a doctoral candidate majoring in Economics. Liz's legal career began in New York City in 1979 when she became a legal secretary right out of high school. She earned her paralegal certification in 1981. In 1985 she and her husband moved to Tampa, Florida where she worked as a paralegal for about 3 years before opening a freelance paralegal business providing contract work for attorneys. In 2003 she accepted a position as office manager with a law firm in Hyde Park. In 2006 she joined Safeco Insurance Company as the firm administrator for 3 Safeco Florida in-house staff counsel offices. In her current position at Waller & Mitchell, Liz's responsibilities include all areas of Human Resources, facilities management, accounting, billing, bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, all banking matters, fiscal budgeting, analysis and projections, computer maintenance, client relations, asset management and marketing among other things.

Liz resides in Land O Lakes, Florida with her husband of 30 years, Richard, and their 4 legged child, a chocolate lab, Godiva. In her spare time Liz enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, entertaining, reading, and shopping.

Grace Milton

Department: Real Estate Paralegal

Grace Milton is a Florida Registered Paralegal who has been with Waller and Mitchell for more than 14 years. She currently works in the real estate department handling closing, title searches and other real estate related matter. Prior to joining Waller & Mitchell, Grace worked in the banking industry.

Grace is from Sleepy Hollow, New York and graduated from Berkley Business School. She moved to Florida in 1980. In her spare time she enjoys traveling and spending time with her grandchildren.

Robin Sweller

Department: Real Estate Legal Assistant

Robin Sweller has been employed as a Legal Assistant at Waller & Mitchell since 2009 and currently works in the firm's real estate department. Robin has more than 15 years' experience as real estate in a variety of settings. She was formerly a licensed Realtor. Robin gets a sense of personal satisfaction from helping people realize their dream of home ownership.

Robin has lived in Florida for more than 35 years, after moving here from New Jersey. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Jean Herny

Department: Probate/Estate Planning Paralegal

Jean Herny, Trusts and Estates paralegal, has been with Waller & Mitchell for more than 2 1/2 years. Jean earned her AS legal secretary degree at St. Petersburg College in 1983 before becoming a paralegal. She has 27 years of experience in the trusts and estates area, including several years spent in Virginia. She enjoys reading, swimming, being in the sun, and spending time with her husband and son.

Josie Ocasio

Department: Litigation Paralegal

Josie Ocasio joined our firm as a plaintiff litigation paralegal in August 2011. Before joining our firm she was employed as a paralegal for over two (2) years at a Tampa based law firm, assisting the managing partner in all facets of family law litigation, foreclosure litigation and civil litigation. Josie has more than 13 years of experience in the legal field.

In 1994 she obtained an Associate Art Degree from Okaloosa Walton Community College in Niceville, Florida and in 1999 she obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. She is fluent in Spanish and English.

In her spare time Josie enjoys being a mother and spending time with family.

Peggy MacDonald

Department: Probate/Guardianship Paralegal

Peggy MacDonald is a probate and guardianship paralegal who has been with Waller & Mitchell for more than 21 years. Peggy studied accounting at SPJC in addition to taking continuing education classes at the state level FALSS (Florida Association of Legal Support Staff) and local level (West Pasco Association Legal Support Staff). Peggy loves doing probate and guardianship work and gets a real satisfaction out of helping the clients the firm services.

In her spare time, Peggy enjoys spending time with her family which includes 7 grandchildren as well as church activities and working out at the gym.

Shawn Neeley

Department: Paralegal

Shawn Neeley joined the Waller & Mitchell team in November, 2012 as a litigation paralegal in our foreclosure defense department. With more than three years’ experience in foreclosure defense work, Shawn has become very knowledgeable in this area and gets satisfaction from helping people who are going through financial difficulties and often facing foreclosure. Before becoming a paralegal, he was a business owner in the Tampa Bay area.

Shawn is native Floridian and grew up in and around the Lutz area. Shawn recently got married and lives with his wife Jessica in Wesley Chapel.

Susan Smith

Susan Smith is the receptionist and corporate secretary at Waller & Mitchell for the past seven (7) months. Before joining Waller & Mitchell, Susan's background included sales, banking and customer service. She started her career with Federal Reserve Bank of New York City in the foreign exchange department. She also worked as a sales manager for Home Interiors & Gifts and as a bank customer service representative.

Susan has been married to her husband Wayne for 42 years. She has 4 children and 3 grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoys reading, crafts and gardening.
